It's a wondrous world we live in ...

... when I can shop from home, in my jammies, late at night, and order a book I like, from a place in Europe who will ship it for free.  Equally wondrous - when I get the book I can take it downstairs, and in a minute, photocopy+enlarge the pattern so I can sew it ...

Birdy pouch from Zakka Handmades - enlarged by 30%, finished to 6.5"w (+ beak) x 5.5" tall :)
 THUS!!! ^^^ :)

  1. Yes... it is a wondrous world we live in!

And what a cute little pouch.

  2. Sewing in this day and age is SO different to sewing when I was younger... instant access to books, patterns, knowledge and even like minded people to talk to. You birdy pouch is so cute!!!

  3. Love your chickie purse! so so so cute! I think about stuff like this all the time, the world is so different than the one we grew up in!
    Hugs , Mick

  4. Adorable!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been eyeing up that book. You're really making me want to buy it!!

  5. This is adorable. I also love that it is now so easy to enlarge patterns. The "bapron" pattern is about to get enlarged here!

  6. Supe cute pattern and how clever you are
to enlarge the pattern and sew it!!
    Cheers, Anita.

  7. Sooooooooooooo cute. The internet is a wonderful thing. How did we ever manage without it.
