Last projects from June

Here are the last finishes I have for June - I hadn't felt like taking pictures so projects got piled up - then I realized I couldn't make my June collage until I got everything photographed, LOL!

"Use up scraps from Chris" gift bags :D

Jeni gift bags :)

Upsized Jeni gift bags - the colour catcher sheets didn't work very well with this load and my white background went grey, GRRRR!

Jeni gift bags ... these are for Wendy's upcycle challenge - the lime green floral print is reclaimed from an Ikea pillowcase!

A few "finish up some scraps" zipper bags - the taupe one front/right is an Across the Pond pouch :)

Pink Penguin fabric basket :)

Zaaberry messenger bag :)
Tomorrow I'm working on another upcycle project - kitchen towel holders made with a tablerunner I scored @ the thrift store - this will also be for Wendy's Something Old, Something New challenge :D

  3. I feel like such a slouch! I've got to get my butt in gear and get some stuff done. The drawstrings are all gorgeous. I've got to make some of those.

I was also thinking that a set of different size pouches NEEDS to be in with my suitcases for travel. Thank you, sewing muse, for getting the creativity moving.

Too bad about the red running. I've had such great luck with the color catchers--wait I'm in virtual Canada--colour catchers;-) I forgot to use them for some red-button-on-white flannel from Joann's which bled profusely. (That sounds like a medical emergency, doesn't it.) The entire 3 yards was ruined! The good news for you is that gray--oops, grey--with anything seems to be in right now.

  4. Love all the gift bags. They're just so colourful and fun. Love the bird fabric in the first picture.

That messenger bag in the last photo is sure to make some young person smile.

  5. I hate photographing things I've made, it's so boring and I'm so rubbish at it! You have made so much, great bags there!

Now Ms Sandra, you can't just go claiming it's for the competition, you actually have to enter it!!

  7. So many cute finishes! You do good at matching up your fabric prints and colors.
Sorry those color catchers did not work:(
I was thinking about trying Retayne, LQS now carries it. My next projects have lots of red/white/blue. It would be sad for runs all over a new quilt.

  8. I guess I'm just going to have to get in the car and start driving to your house - maybe you can motivate me. Remember that bicycle quilt pattern? Can't find it, not even looking for it. Haven't touched a needle in a couple of weeks. And look at all of your gorgeous projects - Sandra, send me some motivation please!!!!!
