RIP Zainab, Sahar, Geeti and Rona - justice has been served

Shafia Trial Verdict: Honour Killing Jury Finds All Accused Guilty Of First-Degree Murder

Courts and juries don't always work the way they should, but in this instance, justice was served when the 3 co-defendants were all found guilty of first degree murder.  Perhaps now those beautiful ladies can find some peace in knowing that the people who were supposed to take care of them and cherish them, will spend the next 25 years in jail.

Posts Masood Nasir (I think this is a tweet?):

Thank God I live in #Canada where justice was served today for cold-blooded shameless murders of 4 women

I concur, Masood, completely.

On a happier note, our oldest lad Nick turned 23 today - Happy Birthday, Shorty!!  The 4 of us went to The Keg for a steak dinner (yum!) then came home for Boston cream cake with icecream for dessert - it was a great day!

Justice served, but how sad it was to hear what those poor girls endured.

  4. 25 years isn't long enough!
i was glad to hear, but very sad that some people in the 'community of Canada' object and think that this should not be a guilty plea....This is Canada, have respect for those who built it and made it what it is today, a safe and inviting community....
