Last week I
posted some projects I had finished for the
Bag It! challenge that Patty is hosting over @
Elm Street Quilts :) I've finished several more bags to add to the challenge, and I'm not done yet, LOL.
Up first are a couple of sets of
Double Zip Pouches that I finished - these were actually all made with fat quarters I got on sale recently @
The Quilt Store, and with zippers I won on Ebay :) The pattern is really easy to do! Just be careful if you use directional prints - they're not the best thing to use for this design, LOL. I didn't take a picture of the back, but let's just say that on the back, my airplanes are headed for a crash landing ;)
And last (for today), but not least - a
Lazy Girl Designs Bendy Bag, and a flex frame bag made with the leftovers :)
Pom pom photo embellishment idea shamelessly
stolen from my friend and fellow Canadian Katherine, who blogs all the way from Alberta :) Her poms are nicer than mine - they must be Alberta Clipper poms or something - maybe mine are Maple Leafs poms! *groan* :D
I notice today that Patty
posted links to bags that have been entered in her challenge, so I'm headed there now for some "baggy" inspiration :)
You make some really fab zippy bags! I love making them, too. That was a great idea to turn the bird pot holder into a bag. I love birds and just might give that a go!
ReplyDeleteI would love to follow your blog, but only can do so via email. Think about adding an email follow button to your blog. I would join in a nanosecond!
Sewing up a storm! You are the queen of zipper pouches, Sandra. Loving those double zipper pouches.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giggle - you did tell me you would be using pom poms in your next photo (and you were true to your word ;o).
Thanks for the elm street quilt linky party link. Busy working 12 hour days this week but I can sew at 11am tomorrow - hope to get a couple more done- prepping for easy christmas gifts. I have that airplane fabric above in blue - didn't score the orange one -cool. I'm enjoying your bags too. Might have to derail and make the 'angry bird' one you posted a few days ago. --and maybe the bluebird pouch - too cute for words. Crafty Staci lives near me.
ReplyDeleteThat airplane fabric is wonderful Sandra, perfect for those bags even if they are about to crash land on the back :)
ReplyDeleteLovely bags as always Sandra, I love the airplane fabric :)
ReplyDeleteLovely bags as always Sandra, I love the airplane fabric :)
ReplyDeleteThe blue / green double zip bags are my favourites today - a favourite colour combo of mine. You're giving me ideas for zipper pulls with the transparent ribbon.
ReplyDeleteLove your work oh Princess of Purses!!! Obviously I love the dog bags but the helicopter/plane ones are awesome (love the charms on them). It's nice to get back to the blogs and even nicer to see that you posted! Hugs, Mickie
ReplyDeleteYou are a bag making machine!! These are all wonderful !
ReplyDeleteI think you may be the only one that I "know" that likes to make zippy pouches more than I do :) AND yours are always so adorable, too! I just bought a different zippy bag pattern tonight, that I'm going to try, once I finish cutting out a tote/travel bag that I want to sew up tomorrow. I can't wait to see what else you have in your queue!
ReplyDeleteGreat ideas you share for bagmaking! I am inspired to keep an open mind for new ideas, especially using the potholder tute for a zip pouch. Sooo cute! I would also like to follow you by email!
ReplyDeleteGreat bags, I really love the plane zipper pull
ReplyDeleteThose are fabulous! Love the airplanes, so what if they're going down on the back. That's ok!
