Monday Makers! #3 :)

During Monday Makers! #2 I started 2 new projects - a shark stuffy and an applique shark bag (adapted from this tutorial for a pillow).  The applique'd bag measures 10" x 12", and Mr. Sharky is 14" x 10" x 4.5" (he's a fatty!) :)

I started something new for Monday Makers! #3 - a music themed composition book cover :D I love making these - they're quick and easy, use up more fabric than you would think, and then you end up with a really lovely project - win/win/win :D

I also tried a new recipe - and immediately moved the pin to my Favourites board, LOL.  YUM @ Pumpkin Spice Chocolate Chip cookies :D

  2. Your shark bag reminds me of another one I have seen recently (http://www.quiltsofafeather.com/2014/08/zipper-mouth-shark-tutorial.html). I have been collecting music themed fabric and hope to start a quilt using those fabrics sometime soon, too! The pumpkin spice cookies sound so yummy.

  7. That's my kinda shark. Looks like he's got quite a sense of humor much like his relative that took a bite out of the kayak at Cape Cod.

Shall have to take a look at that recipe. The one thing I've most loved about Nutrisystem is that I get to have a cookie or one of their other little treats for dessert with dinner every freaking' day! As I start transitioning over to making my own meals, I will need to make some of my own goodies.

  8. Love Sharky! LOL! Have you ever made pajama bags? Just wondering as I was reminded of them recently. Wonder how hard they would be? do kids even make their own beds these days? I wish I could make the pumpkin spice cookies for brad but he is allergic to gluten now and regular recipes are out. They sure look good though!
    Hugs and hugs, Mick
