Catching up on picture posting :D

I've been getting a lot of sewing done this month (not surprising, as the weather has been crappy!) but haven't been keeping up with the photography. That's because I prefer sewing to photography, LOL. Here are a few April finishes ... lots of these items will be going to Blue Hills - I have a big box of stuff ready for them :D

Pencil pouches (using up bits and pieces of stash)

iPad and pencil pouches :)

Pirate boxy bag - this is one of my favourites - it's so cute!

Another iPad and pencil pouch set - this is Susan Branch fabric :)

SURPRISE!!  Another iPad and pencil pouch set!  I bet you didn't see THAT coming!  :D

14 earbud pouches :D

16 earbud pouches :)

Close-up of the zipper pull on the 6 cowboy pouches - can you spot the boot?  :D

5 pink bibs :)

3 remnant bibs!

Bad vacuum. BAD! :D

Our oldest son showed me this video today, lol.  Silly sweet marmie!  It just KILLS me at the end when he starts to swat the wand, LOL!

I recently challenged a bloggy friend to complete a project she wanted to do but hadn't gotten around to - a Kindle cover.  My part of the challenge would be to make a baby dress - something I've wanted to do for a while but, like her, hadn't gotten around to.  We had until this coming Friday to complete git 'r done.   Happily, within 3 days, we were both finished :D

I haven't tried mine on an actual human being (will see my model this coming Sunday) but Gong Gong the panda looks pretty springy in HIS dress!  The free tutorial came from here, and the instructions on lining the bodice came from here.  The dress tutorial has all the sizes from 12 months right up to size 14 --- I'll be making more of these (some for Blue Hills) :)

Time for another challenge, I'd say!

A few small finishes :)

Airplane pillowcase (will go to Blue Hills)

iPad and pencil pouches and earbud pouch :)

Magazine and pencil pouches :)
I've finished a bunch more of those earbud pouches - they're fun to stitch up!  Will get a picture tomorrow :D

Found out today that we our great-nephew count went up by 1 with the arrival of Connor Tristan last night :)  Welcome to the world, sweet one!

I want to shop at THIS Walm-mart --- BAM!!!

SFW, but you may want to turn the volume down ;)

And just for ****s and giggles ...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Note to self:  Feedly for the tablet (everybody else ignore this, LOL)

Here's a UFO I forgot to photograph in February when it was completed.  It measures 36" x 36", and combined with the matching bibs, it used up all the bits and pieces I had left of those jungle fabrics (all from Joanns).  This set will go to the counselling centre :)
DS2 was holding it up for me outside yesterday, but did NOT want to be photographed - heaven forbid!  :D

Here it is on my sheet of insulation design wall, with the patchworked scrappy use-up-the-bits-and-pieces bibs :)  Another completion on the UFO Apocolypse list, YAY!

UFO finished, and a picture of my able assistant :)

UFO completion #3 for 2013 -- blue and green toddler quilt :)  This one finished to 43" x 43", and will go to the counselling centre :)

Quilt back -- it's the same batik that I used on the front for the border.  This was TWO BUCKS a yard @ a Joanns red tag clearance a few years ago - score!
Photo added with permission, here's my cheerful and able assistant, who got told that since he didn't take his laundry upstairs when I asked him to, he had to hold the quilt so I could get a picture, LOL.  He's such a good boy man :)
FREE BONUS - today only!  My Zoomer doing what he does best, in his favourite spot at the end of my couch :D

Santa sack and UFO's :)

 April's Santa sack finished - 4 done, 1 more to go :)
Today I finished my 3rd UFO for this year (see UFO Apocolypse link @ top of page) - it's in the dryer right now so I'll get a picture tomorrow.  It's the top UFO on that page - the turquoisey blue + lime green quilt.   It'll get donated to the counselling centre :)

Then I got cracking on another UFO --- it's #11 on that list - the blue scrappy boy quilt.  The top is now finished (36" square) and I'll try to get it sandwiched this week.  3 down, 12 to go :D

(2013) UFO #3 almost complete :)

Colour block quilt almost completed --- UFO #3 for 2013 :)
Along with my friend Mickie, I'm working on completing a bunch of quilt UFO's this year.  Here's my March project almost finished - I didn't get one done last month as we were away for half of the month :D  The colour blocking idea was inspired by these ... posts by Jenny :)

Fish with bibs. No - fish AND bibs :D

Here we go - yesterday's bib completions (which were interrupted when Zoomer decided that the denim fabric was for his comfort, not for his cousin Massimo's drool :D), and today's earbud pouch completions :)

Earbud pouches (measuring 5.25" in diameter) - tutorial here :)

Cousin bibs - as in, bibs made for Massimo (who, along with his twin sister Madelena, turns 1 this month!), using denim from worn out work jeans from their (second) cousins' Nick & Chris :)  The inspiration for the tie bib came from here - thanks Becca!   Maddie's bibs were completed last summer and have been waiting for the proper gifting occasion :D

Roadblock ahead!

Ladies and gentlemen - there will be a slight delay in the making of the tie bib :D  Until the road is cleared, we'll work on a different one - heeeeeeeeere fishy fishy fishy!

I was working in the basement this morning - I had the fabrics on the table to make a bib - I went to the ironing board to press something, and when I turned back around, my sewing assistant had decided to show up for work - several hours late, I should add!  ;)  Of course he trumps the tie bib, so I'm working on a different one until His Nibs moves His Fat Butt :D

Let them eat CAKE :D

iPad and pencil pouch set :)  Fabric was purchased @ a quilt store in Hershey, PA during a trip there in 2011!

Back - fabric for a toddler quilt (bought as a kit).  Middle - TOT prints for some projects I have kitted.  Front - a USA print given to me by my friend Mickie, to make a pouch for my "use in the USA" cellphone, lol!  These fabrics were all purchased (or received) during our trip to Florida last month :)
